I've got a few domains like DOM1.lengthy.domain.name,
DOM2.lengthy.domain.name, and so on, which a local at some host. I
want to set up different alias files etc. for each domain, which
should be named aliases.DOM1 for short.
Is there an easy way to extract the DOM1 to a variable which expends
to the corresponding part of the domain name? I expect that
extracting it using some ${} construct each time it is needed results
in a very unreadable configuration file...
