Techincally, that' not necessarily true. You can set
"newaliases_command" to be something for Exim to run to remake alias
dbm files. But Exim doesn't make any attempt to handle those details
itself.
Of course, this is probably irrelevant to the problem at hand, by my
pedantic nature demanded I point it out :)
