If by "the standard Solaris compiler" you mean Forte C 6.0 (or previous
versions) in /opt/SUNWspro/bin then the answer is yes. Compiles clean. If
you mean /usr/ucb/cc then no, as that is not a compiler but a shell script
telling you that there is no compiler installed. :)

I haven't had to do anything special to built 3.22 with either gcc or
Forte on 2.6, 7, or 8, other than adding -I/path/to/random/includes and
-L/path/to/random/libs as appropriate. So I'd be curious to see how this
one was built. Also the output of a ldd on the exim binary might be
interesting.
