Hi,
I have a question regarding "headers_remove".
I host several domains on one host; and some of these domains have users
that use local MUA's (such as 'mutt').
They wish to send emails as their domain, but without my domain showing
excessively in the mail header.
I am fully aware that the "Received" headers will include the host the
mail was sent from, so that is not an issue.
However, consider the following (real names modified) header:
1 |From juser@??? Wed May 23 17:36:59 2001
2 |Received: from bearclaw.bogus.net ([193.214.208.180]) by mta.destination.com
3 | (InterMail vM.4.01.03.21 241-129-151-011-20000307) with ESMTP
4 | id <20010523153658.UJQL26521.mta.destination.com@???>
5 | for <recipient@???>; Wed, 23 May 2001 17:36:58 +0200
6 |Received: from simonw by bearclaw.bogus.net with local (Exim 3.16 #1)
7 | id 152agz-0005uK-00
8 | for recipient@???; Wed, 23 May 2001 17:36:57 +0200
9 |Date: Wed, 23 May 2001 17:36:57 +0200
10 |From: Sender <sender@???>
11 |To: Recipient <recipient@???>
12 |Subject: Hello
13 |Message-ID: <20010523173657.B7858@???>
14 |Mime-Version: 1.0
15 |Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
16 |Content-Disposition: inline
17 |User-Agent: Mutt/1.2.5i
18 |Sender: "Joe User,,," <juser@???>
The following changes to the header are wished for:
1 : This line is added by the recipients MTA, how to change this?
2-9 : Not an issue
10 : The user's own domain and mail user.
11-17 : Not an issue
18 : Changed to "sender@???" or removed.
Is this possible?
Or is there something here I don't understand (quite possible!), so this request is
basically wasted?
Best regards,
Tor
