I was using exim 3.12 and I wanted to try 3.22-4 (exim-3.22-4.i586.rpmfrom rpmfind.net) on Mandrate 8.0 ( clean/new installation) After the rpm --install exim I wanted to configure it but could not find /etc/exim.conf !!! I copied from my old 3.12 and it seemed to work ok. But then the aliases file was not used!! ( mails to root was not aliased to my user account)
I have removed it and installed 3.12 and everything is OK (aliasing is working now)
Is there a configurartion change from 3.12 -> 3.22 ?
