I have never understood all the trouble people will go to to avoid uucp.
This remote retrieval is exactly what uucp was designed for. I have dozens
of machines that retrieve mail via uucp reliably day in and day out.

I guess since there is no M$ equivalent, people are unfamiliar/scared of it.
