Thanks all for your help!!!
Kick my ass now or later, but there was a old copy of a exim binary in
/usr/bin and my new binaries where in /usr/local/bin so the due to the path
setting, it always ran the old copy in /usr/bin.
It's all wonderful and amazing again now :-)
