Last week, my server on a dial-up went off-line for an extended period of
time. The server is back on-line for some time, and receives mail without
problem.
All mail that is orginated on the server is first delayed and then fails
delivery with an error reporting that it cannot deliver to the domain
(mail.somedomain.com) with an IP address (which means the DNS lookup worked)
because Network unreachable.
Somewhere EXIM has conviced itself that is still off-line and won't send
out.
I have scoured the documentation and applied many different fixes suggested
in this mailing list and in the documentation (exim -qf, exim_tidydb retry,
etc.).
Another user last year reported a similar sort of problem but the answer to
his question was never posted to the mailing list.
/\Any help is greatly appreciated.
