It reveals itself already as the "Darwin" architecture -- the changes
I sent really were the only things I did. Darwin is the moniker I
believe is what most open source/free projects are choosing to use.

Besides when they rev it to Mac OS XI it'd be a drag :-)

Incidently, I should say that I'm using the Unix file system on OS X
rather than the more common (at this transitional stage) HFS+ (Mac's
own file system). I posted a minor patch to get a part of qmail to
compile under OS X and someone replied (who'd used a different route
& had apparently been using it for a while) that he'd had trouble
getting it to work consistently on HFS+. I only note that here in
case someone tries it and find all sorts of weird things happening:
