You have set serialize_hosts on your remote_smtp transport. There are
several messages being sent to the hosts for 1234.com; the
serialize_hosts limit for those hosts has been reached so this message
cannot be sent.

I guess you've set serialize_hosts to 1 or some low value. When it does
get through, it sends everything down the same connection (that's what
the * means).
