However we also use POP3 before SMTP for normal sites on
the linux server, and exim won;t accept multiple "host_accept_relay" lines
(or so I believe), what is the syntax for multiple items on a conf line
in exim?

host_accept_relay = "216.xxx.xxx.xxx"
in your 'configure' file ought to do the trick. Where 216.xxx.xxx.xxx
is the IP of your NT server.
