Gah.

Well, I have never installed Exim from packages, be it BSD,
Debian, or DeadRat. I don't trust them. I hardly trust myself
;)

As far as I remember my Debian days, those changes should be made
when the package is upgraded. Submit a bug report.

Living in Jerusalem, I can tell you that they didn't have UNIX in
ancient temples.
