Well, it means what it says, and without further info there's little to
add. It has a message addressed to sites@???. The list of
local domains does not contain smtp.mydomain.com, but when it tries to
find out which remote host to send it to, it ends up with the local
host.
Try running exim -bt -d9 sites@??? to see how it is
arriving at this point.
