I am more inclined to have a nifty director/router that has a list of
known-bad recipients and that fails these addresses directly on the
machine that is MX. That way, the remote MTA will generate the bounce
and I won't see it. Saves traffic, too.

Any reasons not do to it this way that I might have missed?
