I am assuming an option to be used only if your machine knows
something about where the mail is going to go, ie the mail is being
delivered locally on your machine, or your machine is a mail hub that
is the primary MX or the sort of secondary MX that you (Dave) prefer,
which knows all about which adresses can be delivered by the primary
MX, or at least knows enough to know that PH10 and ph10 really are the
same. It probably needs to work only for the things that are
currently directors, ie localuser, forwardfile, smartuser... where you
are actually working with the local parts and not just routeing
domains.
