I have put a work-in-progress set of exim RPMs up at
ftp://ftp.exim.org/pub/rpms-for-exim/
These are a work in progress in that I am looking at expanding the RPM
set for general consumption, but this set only does half the job :-)
All binaries are compiled on an up-to-date RH6.2 box
The main exim program is compiled with the following support:-
- TLS/SSL
- Perl
- All hashed file lookups
- No SQL type support
- All transports other than LMTP
- NIS and related
- No LDAP
Configuration
- binaries in /usr/sbin & /usr/bin (as appropriate)
- spool in /var/spool/exim
- logs in /var/log/exim/
- config is in /etc/exim/config
- RH start scripts and logrotate scripts included
The subpackages include the X monitor and documentation in all
available formats
I intend to modify this so that 3 versions of the perl binary are built
- exim + TLS
- exim + TLS + LDAP
- exim + TLS + perl + LDAP
I could also add combinations with MySQL/PgSQL except I don't keep
versions around - maybe against RH7 which has them bundled?
Please note that the OpenSSL library used is that built by Damien
Miller of the OpenSsh team. RPMs for that can be found at
http://www.openssh.com/portable.html
The recently released openssl rpm from RH has some strange things done
to it and is *not* link compatible with this one.
