hi,
if you look at:
http://isber.ucsb.edu/~randall/exim-mysql/configure

you'll see that the mysql_autoresponder director is indeed before the
localuser_cyrus director, and the mysql_autoresponder is 'unseen' as
well so that the mail will still get delivered to the user after the
autoresponse is mailed out.

but yes, if i had this setup wrong you'd be right.
