I did say "unless someone can find a better name". However, there have
been no suggestions, and I don't think there is one. Also, people talk
about "mail routing" regularly. This goes back to the days of RFC 821,
and I think that's before Cisco or Nortel even existed.
Anyway, routing a message is very similar in concept to routing a
packet: both processes decide where the object is to be sent.
