Folks,
I am using exim 3.12, on a Debian system. This acts as a mail relay for a
dozen domains, as well as a host for some.
My users are complaining that mail to user@??? bounces back
after being on the queue for some time. Atempting to flush the queue:
texas:~# exim -v -M 148x3m-0007Df-00
delivering message 148x3m-0007Df-00
Connecting to smtp.jati.net.my [202.188.245.12] ... connected
LOG: 0 MAIN
Remote host smtp.jati.net.my [202.188.245.12] closed connection after initial connection
LOG: 0 MAIN
== cssales@??? T=remote_smtp defer (-19): Remote host
smtp.jati.net.my [202.188.245.12] closed connection after initial
connection
And the retry database says:
T:smtp.jati.net.my:202.188.245.12 -19 77 Remote host smtp.jati.net.my [202.188.245.12] closed connection after initial connection
19-Dec-2000 21:33:43 23-Dec-2000 01:42:41 23-Dec-2000 09:42:41
Connecting via telnet:
[ghane@texas:~> telnet smtp.jati.net.my 25
Trying 202.188.245.12...
Connected to smtp.jati.net.my.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
Which is consistent ;-(
Telneting from any other host works fine. The postmaster on
smtp.jati.net.my says I am not blackholed or banned. It is possible this
may be a TCP/IP issue, and I am investigating with a different kernel.
In the meantime, is it possible to ask exim to send all mail for
globalfrtkul.com.my or mail to another smarthost, which will relay for me?
Thanks
