[Exim] configureing exim + qpopper + mysql

I have compiled EXIM with mysql support, I also have qpopper compiled patched for mysql support and mysql is running fine, I just can not find any good documentation on configuring them all to work together, qpopper is working but it doesnt seem to be reading the spool files even though I belive I have the config file set to read from the appropriate dir. exim is working as the spool files are going into the spool directory but I compiled it with auth pop first and it isnt. If someone could point me to a howto or doc file I would greatly appriciate it. So far this has been a ton easier than qmail to compile I hope configuration is as simple.
