Hi,
I have exim 3.16 set up on a medium-sized network and so far everything
worked fine.
But without changing any configuration, after a while of working just
fine, exim suddenly started to deliver mails 3 times to the same account.
This error is not reproducable on other accounts, although I've copied the
.forward:
bergerm@papa
"| /usr/local/bin/procmail"
and the .procmailrc file (which has no deliveries to the mailbox)
the part in the configurare file is
local_delivery:
driver = appendfile
file = /var/mail/${local_part}
delivery_date_add
envelope_to_add
return_path_add
The mailbox file where the error occures is quite large (16MB) but has
only a few mails in it ( 27 mails, should be 9 ), so this could be a
problem with large mails (?)
Here are my questions:
- Why do I get every mail 3 times?
- How do I stop it?
If you need more information, I am certainly willing to give you any
information that won't compromise security
Thanks for any help!
mfG
