Hello,
Running Exim 3.167 on a RedHat 7.0 linux system I am occassionally getting
the following message in the main.log log file:
2000-10-30 10:38:22 13qCKc-0003iA-00 <= jhorne@??? U=john P=local
S=1449 id=XFMail.001030103822.john@??? T="RE: [LUG]
pop3 mail" for lug-list@???
2000-10-30 10:38:23 13qCKc-0003iA-00 Failed to open wait-remote_smtp
database: File exists
2000-10-30 10:38:23 13qCKc-0003iA-00 => lug-list@???
R=send_2_ mailhub T=remote_smtp H=pandora.csd.plymouth.ac.uk
[141.163.2.62]
2000-10-30 10:38:23 13qCKc-0003iA-00 Completed
As can be seen the message does get delivered. However the 'failed to
open...file exists' message seems a bit confusing - the database couldn't be
opened (for some reason) but what 'file exists'? Is this anything to worry
about?
Note that I have not seen this message on a Solaris 7 system running Exim
3.167 though (which handles most of my inbound mail).
Thanks,
John.
