Wouldn't that rewrite <fred@mg@???> to <bob@???> ?

Yours is probably more efficient than this, but surely:
^(?i).+@mg[^@.]+.my.domain bob@???
^(?i).+@bp[^@.]+.my.domain bob@???
is more accurate?

And now someone will either optimise that, or explain why I'm wrong.
