What that document doesn't mention is that it's actually difficult/
impossible to get this to work if you are using shadow passwords,
since at the point exim is attempting to authenticate, it is running
with the exim uid and gid, and usually doesn't have permission to read
the password file. Details of the way I got around this are at:
