I can tell you that exim does, or atleast the version i got.
Exim version 2.12 #1 built 5-Mar-1999
(i know it's old so don't tell me)
I got main.log.01 .02 etc.. in my exim/ directory which were
rotated every 4th day. Just looking at the times in the files
it shows me this.
Surely there must be a way to stop this.
