[Exim] alias files & pipes

i'm trying to get a perl script named demime working with my majordomo
installation. i'm wondering if perhaps the following construction in the
alias file, which pipes the output of demime into the majordomo wrapper, is
perhaps not working properly with exim:

alfa:         "|/tools/majordomo/demime - |/tools/majordomo/wrapper resend -C
/tools/majordomo/digest.cf -l alfa -h digest.net -f owner-alfa 
alfa-out@???"

will exim do this as i intend it, or should i start preparing an alternate
solution?
