I'm looking to build a mail system that uses email addresses as logins. (I
think this can be done with InterMail) To summarize quickly:
Email to john@???:
- Looks up domain and user in a DB or LDAP,
- Drops mail into /var/somewhere/spool1/john@???/ in Maildir format (Could
also be spool1/doe.com/john),
- John logs in to system using 'john@???' as his username.
This would be a "sealed" system, where users don't have accounts. All info
would be in an LDAP directory. (Or something else)
Does anybody have an idea of how to do this?
