Hi there,
I am using exim 3.14 on rh linux
I have set sender_verify_hosts in the config file
-snip-
sender_verify_hosts = "! mail.seol.net.au: ! 203.23.53.12/32:*"
-snip-
however it seems to be be verifing email senders from that host, it doesn't
seem to matter whether I have the * or the ip or combinations of it. the
system filter handles the verifying.
here is the output of -bh
-sniped- >>> host in helo_accept_junk_hosts? no (option unset) 220 clifford.seol.net.au ESMTP SEOL Mail Server Thu, 03 Aug 2000 20:55:49
+0930
mail from:<>
250 <> is syntactically correct
rcpt to:<fred@???> >>> hotmail.com in local_domains? no (end of list)
>>> hotmail.com in relay_domains? no (end of list)
>>> host in host_accept_relay? yes (203.23.53.0/24)
>>> host is permitted to relay
>>> host in sender_address_relay_hosts? yes (*)
>>> in sender_address_relay? no (end of list)
>>> sender is not permitted to relay 550 relaying to <fred@???> prohibited by administrator
LOG: refused relay (sender) to <fred@???> from <>
H=mail.seol.net.au [203.23.53.12]
I thought setting sender_verify_hosts with ! was supposed to stop it from
doing a verify on the sender.
TIA
cya
Andrew
