That is indeed what will happen. Setting errors_to changes the envelope
sender address of the message. That is the address to which delivery
failure messages (bounces) are sent. Within the delivery notification
paradigm, those are effectively negative delivery notifications. The
same address is used for positive delivery notifications. There is only
one address; you can't specify the negative ones to go one way and the
positive ones another.
