I have exim setup on a Debian 2.1 (stable) isntall using 2.2.14 kernel and
Exim version 2.05. I am running on runlevel2 and the daemon is started on
bootup, but the daemon never starts, and the exim paniclog records:
<date> <time> Failed to open configuration file /etc/exim.conf
The file is there when I look:
host:/etc# ls -l exim*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13357 Jul 21 06:27 exim.conf
and has been configured using the configuration utility eximconfig. When
I run "exim -bd" as root the daemon starts nomally and I am able to send
and receive email.
Stumped. Any ideas?
Thanks,
