[Exim] Connection refused/timed out and retry time

After I have sent email, i've checked /var/log/exim/exim_maillog:

2000-07-19 19:25:50 13ExaE-0000tt-00 fw.intesis.it [195.103.31.195]: Connection
timed out
2000-07-19 19:25:50 13ExaE-0000tt-00 == mail@??? T=remote_smtp defer
(238): Connection timed out
...... more times....

2000-07-20 09:30:11 13ExaE-0000tt-00 == mail@??? T=remote_smtp defer
(-44): retry time not reached for any host

What's happens to the message?
Why i was not informed about the problem?
I don't want that exim retry to send my mail, it have to send to me the
errors and stop retrying.
How can i do this?
