I strongly advise NOT to do that automatically. There is a bunch of
broken programs out there that send autoreplies to header addresses,
not to sender addresses. I see a rather large number of double bounces
and vacation type mails being sent to mailer-daemon. An automatic reply
might result in a mail loop.

Yes, that's sick, but that's the way typical Windows software works.
