I have been running exim on reiserfs for quite some time, but I noticed
something in Exim 3.14 that caused a glitch.
The check_spool_inodes with a default of 0 didn't work well. On my
reiserfs partition, the available inode count reported by reiserfs is
-1.
So, I get a
452 space shortage, please try later
Simply adding:
check_spool_inodes = -1
solves the problem completely.
My two cents. Perhaps the default should be -1? It effectively is no
different and that way file systems without inode counts (like Veritas
and NetApps -- they make them as needed, sort of) would work without a
hitch.
