Subject: [Exim] secure pop3 aka po3s
hi

g.finance@??? asked question about secure pop3.
Securiteam wrote a step-by-step manual some month ago:
http://www.securiteam.com/unixfocus/Who_guards_your_front_doors___A_practical_guide_to_securing_POP3_under_Linux_.html

Under windows you can use ...uhmm...i forgott the name.
I'm not the windows guru...the same email client which was
affected by the iloveyou-worm.

under unix you can use "fetchmal" with the "--ssl" parameter
[most distributions have compiled fetchmail without ssl-support...
so you have to recompile it...]
or...you can establish a ssl-tunnel and use your favourite email
client:

stunnel -r <your pop-server here>:995 -c -d 31337
...and now the user can pop his mail from localhost:31337

If anyone knows any other ssl-capable email client please
drop me a msg.
