i use exim 3.10,
my configuration is:
local_domains = localhost:mysql;select distinct domain
from mail_adm where domain='${quote_mysql:$key}'

the error message is:
failed to expand mysql query select distinct domain from mail_adm where
domain='${quote_mysql: "${quote_mysql" unrecognized
