hi,
I'm changin my virtual hosting to look up users in system passwd file
rather that a /virtual/passwd file for each domain. I plan to use made up
names like xxx1111 and alias them to bob@???. I'm going to do this
for two reasons: 1. easy maintenance, and to get around using a modified
pop3 daemon to lookup the passwds in an alt file.
Anyone think that's a bad idea, or I have not thought of something? If
not:
So far my exim.conf entry looks like:
virtual_localuser:
driver = aliasfile
transport = virtual_localdelivery
domains = lsearch;/etc/virtual/domains
file = /etc/virtual/$domain/passwd
search_type = lsearch
I need a replacment for the 'file =' line to get it to go to the system's
file.
