[Exim] 3.13 build -- crypt library???

Hi Exim Experts,

I can't find this in the FAQ.

I'm trying to build 3.13 and it fails because it can't find -lcrypt.
Neither can I. Neither can my sysadmin. We don't remember this
library being linked when we built 3.02. Are we losing it? Did we
miss a step?

We are on Caldera Linux.

I'd be grateful for any hints.
