Well, isn't that a *really helpful* error message? Perhaps you should
contact the postmaster on that machine to find out if it logged any more
useful information as to what header line it didn't like.

Exim does not try to be clever about the contents of headers, other than
those containing addresses when you have turned on the syntax checking
option. Also, Exim is 8-bit clean and doesn't object to 8-bit
characters.

headers_sender_verify insists that there is one verifyable sender in the
headers; headers_check_syntax checks syntax of addresses. There are no
checks for Received, Message-Id, Date, or Subject or anything else.
