Asunto: RE: [Exim] Configure Exim to handle many mail users W/O using systemaccounts
This is exactly what I have been working on to implement for the last month.
I downloaded a wonderful patch to gnu-pop3d from
http://www.reedmedia.net/projects/virtualmail/ that allowed me to have
seperate password files for each of the domains I am serving mail for. It
took me a while to get everything to the point that it is now, but that is
largely due to my navitity with linux itself. :) So far, I have implemented
virtual domains with seperate password files, and SMPT auth with plain and
login so users can relay from non local hosts. Attached is my config file
if it may be of any use to you. You will need to spend some time studying
the spec doc and the faq on exim.org. these will be of extreme value to
you. :) Keep in mind that you will have to have a couple of perl or shell
scripts to create the salted passwd files for the users since you don't want
them to have system accounts.

Hope this helps,

Daniel Einspanjer

Could somebody explain to me how to configure exim to handle many mail
users (multiple email addresses) with separate POP3 accounts - without
using system accounts or is there any documentation to read ?
