Hi Philip
One other aspect you may need to bear in mind - HP-UX has a kernel
option to set the time zone (things like inetd and init inherit it
before they see TZ as I recall).
IRIX will take the TZ from the nvram settings - default is PDT (but it
can be set via the nvram command or from the prom monitor).
HP-UX needs a kernel gen and reboot to get it all consistent.
Maybe it is different in HP-UX 11.00 or from model to model.
Just when you thought it was consistent.....
