Yes, it's called freeserve.

Where you keep those emails is one issue. Make sure you have a good
structures for them (ie not mailbox format, not is [a-z]/[a-z] dir,
etc...). If the home spool is NFS mounted, make sure your network is
good enough.

Second, disk IO is the limite. I've heard good things about Raid 0+1 (or
1+0 depends on what you use) as opposed to raid 4/5. What about solide
state disk?

Third, make sure that you keep things simple and to a minimum. Watch out
for how many files are going to be read each time an email goes through.
