[Exim] First time exim user: virtual domains / aliases

Hello,

I'm trying to move to move from majordomo and sendmail to mailman and
exim. Both Exim and Mailman work great! But I have some problems with
aliases [some
were solved automagicly while writing this message ;)].

I would like to keep /etc/aliases alive for backward compatability but
at the same time use:
   /usr/local/exim/config/brijn.nu
for new local aliases (like I use /usr/local/exim/config/$domain for the
virtual domains). So I added:
  # Exim virtual users
  :include:/usr/local/exim/config/brijn.nu
to /etc/aliases. The brijn.nu file contains:
  k.rijniersce:                   rijniersce
When I send a message to k.rijniersce@??? I get:
  ** k.rijniersce@???: unknown local-part "k.rijniersce" in domain
"brijn.nu"
What is wrong with this alias??

I didn't make any changes to the aliasfile configuration
