This does not make Exim use the IP address on the RHS of an MX record.
If the DNS contains
bad.domain MX 5 10.9.8.7
other.domain A 10.9.8.7
Then your router will not work for x@???. It will only work if
"other.domain" happens to be the same as "bad.domain", because
x@??? will work.
