Subject: [Exim] fails to re-bind to port 25 after a SigHUP
Hello Exim people :-)

The title just about gives it away.. I'm running exim for local delivery
(with the -bd option) and it's just dandy. It delivers locally etc.

until I HUP it, at which point it goes splat. Logs are as follows :

2000-01-28 13:31:22 exim 3.13 daemon started: pid=23442, -q5m, listening
for SMTP on port 25
2000-01-28 13:31:22 Start queue run: pid=23443
2000-01-28 13:31:22 End queue run: pid=23443
2000-01-28 13:31:26 pid 23442: SIGHUP received: re-exec daemon
2000-01-28 13:31:26 socket bind() to port 25 for address (any) failed:
Permission denied: waiting before trying again

Exim is running as mail.mail. pid file is there. Don't really know what
other information is useful here..

I've gone through the mailing list archives back to about 1997 and
couldn't find anything like this so now I'm officially stuck. Anyone
experienced this?

cheers,

Giles
