Assunto: [Exim] convert4r3, host_reject and +allow_unknown
I had in a 2.12 config file with

  sender_host_reject_recipients = "+allow_unknown:\
                partial-lsearch;TABLES/hosts_reject"

sender_net_reject_recipients = TABLES/nets_reject

sender_net_reject_except = 138.250.0.0/16

convert4r3 created

 # >> Option rewritten by convert4r3
host_reject_recipients = "! 138.250.0.0/16 : \
        +allow_unknown:\
                partial-lsearch;TABLES/hosts_reject : TABLES/nets_reject"

That however led to the following failure (taken from the reject log and
edited to omit actuall email addresses).

2000-01-19 10:22:39 refused relay (host) to <[SOMEADDRESS]>
from <SOMEUSER@???> H=(btnt016f.ibst.cranfield.ac.uk)
[138.250.38.16] (failed to find host name from IP address)

Moving the +allow_unknown to before the old net_reject_except info
fixed the problem (as will cleaning up our DNS records for this machine),
but it might be worth trying to add still more smarts to the convert4r3
script, to try to get an +allow_unknown before any net specifications.

Alternatively, changing the semantics of +allow_unknown to do that itself.

Anyway, I've one confused user to talk to, and a DNS entry to fix.
