[Exim] majordomo delivery to file changes perms

i deliver to majordomo lists using

    majordomo_aliases:
      driver = aliasfile
      file = /usr/local/majordomo/lists/majordomo.list
      search_type = lsearch
      file_transport = address_file
      pipe_transport = address_pipe
      user = lserv
      group = lserv

and the normal stuff as recommended.

but, if an entry in the mailing list file is of the form

    /usr/ftp/pub/lists/idn.current
    user@???
    another@???

the perms on the file /usr/ftp/pub/lists/idn.current are changed from 644 to
600.

so what am i doing wrongly?
