What that means is that the .forward file has the the incorrect
"permissions". If you do an
% ls -al .forward
you will see the permissions (mode) of the file -wrxwrxwrx wher each w
(write) r (read) or x (execute) is a permission bit if set ( or a - if not
set) and the groupings of the bits from left to right are owner group
other (world) . Make sure that only the owner as write privileges.
