I hope somebody can help me with a problem I am experiencing the past
week. First my system:

I have a problem of some mails failing and end up as frozen and I cannot
determine what causes it. I send about 200 mail messages per month and
this happened only for the past week without any change in my
configuration that I know of.
The following illustrates my problem. This morning I wanted to subscribe
to exim-users and send (while off-line) the message using pine. After
the connection to the ISP the exim/mainlog reports:

Later, when online, I tried again with the following result:

It does not happen with all my mail.
Does anybody have an explanation?
