I need to remember more often that I am unusual in that I tend to read
manuals through, especially the bits defining the syntax. :-)

Your suggestions are useful, thank you, and I will try to improve things
in future. However this will not be for the 3.10 release, because the
documentation for that is now complete. But I expect there will be
another release in due course...

I can define references; not so easy to define hyperlinks, since HTML is
not the basic documentation format, but maybe one day the conversion
process can turn them into hyperlinks.
