I'm pretty new to all this so please be gentle with me ...
I'm trying to get exim to work with majordomo 1.94.4 (or is that the
other way round )
When I send mail to majordomo:
$:> echo 'lists' |mail madordomo
I get this error
$:> 1999-11-15 23:20:16 11nL7I-00083S-00 majordomo_aliases director:
failed to open /usr/lib/majordomo/lists/lists.aliases for linear
search: Permission denied (euid=8 egid=8)
I've set up the dir's and files as per the instructions (as far as I
can see) but I just can't figure this bit out.
I've set up a director as follows after the system_aliases
majordomo_aliases:
driver = aliasfile;
file = /usr/lib/majordomo/lists/lists.aliases,
search_type = lsearch,
user = majordom
group = majordom
lists.aliases looks like this
majordom: majordomo
majordomo: "|usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"
owner-majordomo: richard
majordomo-owner: owner-majordomo
# test mailing list
test: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -l test -h viberts.com.au
test-out"
test-out: :include:/usr/lib/majordomo/lists/test
owner-test: richard
test-owner: owner-test
owner-test-out: owner-test
